Born in Seoul, studied at the Royal Academy Of Fine Arts in Antwerp and at Esmod Berlin: Korean-born Jakeyoung Sim founded his Brand Acceptance Letter in Berlin in 2021. It is not without reason that his label bears this name, because the higher mission of the designer is hidden behind the German “Annahmebrief”: to accept everyone as they are - whether international, multicultural or queer.
With avant-garde designs, the designer strives for inclusivity and belonging and celebrates a diverse spectrum of beauty. With his fashion and accessories, Jakeyoung Sim wants to give Sim self-confidence and strength, radiate warmth and create closeness instead of relying on cool exclusivity. His goal: to create an authentic and inclusive fashion culture.
