About the Collection
Like the meticulous chisel of a sculptor or the bold stroke of a painter's brush, Avenir’s Fall/Winter 2025/26 collection is a celebration of the brand’s artisan craftsmanship, unveiling the raw beauty of handwork through detailed tailoring. Through sustainable innovation techniques, pre-loved garments are transformed into both precious collectible pieces and wearable outwear, embodying the perfect fusion of art, craft, and fashion in AVENIR’s most authentic and refined form. The collection juxtaposes oversized forms with delicate, refined accents and balances the softness of boiled wool against the sharp, angular lines of architectural tailoring. Silhouettes are characterized by expansive, flowing volumes, particularly in outerwear. A standout feature is the “melange effect”, achieved by blending various fibers and shades. The collection contrasts utilitarian elements with the structured precision of tailored blazers, blending the practicality of workwear with the polish of refined tailoring. The result is a balance between utility and elegance, offering garments that are both wearable and visually captivating while redefining the value of overlooked materials.

Founded by Sophie Claussen in 2020, Avenir flourished upon the value of her uncompromising commitment to conscious design and production. What non-fashion related sources or experiences have influenced your current collection?
Our current collection is deeply influenced by art and craftsmanship. With the launch of our Blue Line (made-to-order pieces) we ask ourselves: at what point does fashion become art? At AVENIR, fashion becomes art when the craftsmanship, technique, and detail are so exquisite that a piece transcends function to become a work of beauty. The intricate handwork, material selection, and countless hours involved blur the line between fashion and art, a theme that greatly shapes our AW25 collection.
