LUEDER

ABOUT THE COLLECTION

SL∀Y is a fashion show turned mythic theatre. Blending runway and ritual, the performance deconstructs the familiar architecture of a catwalk to stage a psychological journey, blurring the lines between spectacle and story. Drawing on the legend of Saint George and the Dragon, this production reimagines heroism, gender, and power dynamics through performance, fashion, and movement.

Models become actors; archetypes become vessels; garments become talismans. Each look in SL∀Y carries symbolic weight—armour, drag, uniform, or disguise. The stage is a battleground of identity and ideology, where the dragon is not merely slain, but understood, tamed, or mourned.

Costume and casting invert expectation: male-presenting performers in powdered princess drag; female-identifying heroes in streetwear-as-battle-dress; incels, tradwives, and influencers haunting the margins like modern-day folk characters. As the show unfolds, fashion becomes theatre, and theatre becomes ritual.

This is not a runway for trends—this is a runway for confrontation, transformation, and rebirth. The catwalk transforms into a pageant of pain and possibility. SL∀Y dares to ask: how do we dress as to survive our own dragon?

“The serpent or “Dragon” in the cave is an image which often occurs in antiquity. It is important to realize that in classical antiquity, as in other civilizations, the serpent or “Dragon” not only was an animal that aroused fear and represented danger, but also signified healing.” (Carl Jung, CW 18, Page 116.)
