Anew this season, PLNGNS puts emphasis on their expert use of recycled materials in their latest collection titled "Identity Season". This consistency reflects the brand’s commitment to sustainability and innovation, showcasing the beauty of upcycled materials in fresh new ways. By transforming these materials, particularly old sneakers, the label wants to demonstrate advancements in material innovation and craftsmanship. The results are versatile pieces that can be styled and worn in various ways in everyday life. The color palette is kept in classic black, gray, and white, emphasizing texture and form while
creating a bold, timeless aesthetic. This season also introduces a unique, handcrafted print by manually transferring the surface textures of the materials. This process results in an organic, raw, and truly one-of-a-kind pattern. The silhouettes of the 25+ different unisex looks combine functionality with avant garde elements—structured yet fluid shapes that reflect the industrial inspiration behind the collection. Each piece tells a story of transformation and resilience, mirroring the journey of the materials and highlighting the brand’s experimental design philosophy of redefining fashion with purpose and creativity.

How does your cultural background or heritage play a role in your designs?
Growing up in Donetsk regione, Ukraine, a region marked by industrial pollution and environmental neglect, deeply influenced my approach. My heritage, rooted in resilience and resourcefulness, drives me to transform old sneakers into unique, upcycled pieces. Each creation reflects the values of sustainability, blending creativity with a commitment to reducing waste, while offering a new perspective in a place where such ideas are often overlooked-like it happend in fast fashion
