ABOUT THE COLLECTION

Showing for the first time at Berlin Fashion Week, Ottolinger presented their Resort 2026 collection called “Heidi” – building on the idea of being the cooler older sister who breaks the rules so you don’t have to. Opened by pop singer Kim Petras, the collection that followed featured an array of skin-tight silhouettes – in black or flashy colours –, including the jersey pieces and printed mesh dresses and tops the label has become known for. There was an exploration of tailoring – deconstructed, reworked, layered – and head-to-toe denim looks so shiny they looked waxed. Painted latex dresses and leggings completed the collection.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Avant–garde darling Ottolinger is the brainchild of Swiss Designers Christa Boesch and Cosima Gadient. Launched in 2015, the directional label formed after the pair met at the Basel School of Design. Now based in Berlin, Ottolinger’s raw, subversive aesthetic has garnered industry-wide attention and international following. Classic styles are meticulously manipulated, splashed with bleach, dipped in rubber, de- and reconstructed into unconventional forms to create a nonconformist wardrobe with clear intent and a distinct signature. Ottolinger’s unorthodox approach paints a bold escape from the conventional confines of luxury fashion.

Why did you start your label/business?

After graduating from fashion school, we started thinking about which types of brands we would like to work for and felt like none of them truly represented our style - so we founded our own.
