Press Release

Berlin, 18.06.2026
As part of Berlin Fashion Week, DER BERLINER SALON presents a curated selection of 36 designers at the Große Orangerie at Schloss Charlottenburg. The group exhibition brings together selected positions from Germany’s fashion and design scene, offering emerging creatives a platform to present their work to an international audience of press, buyers, cultural institutions, and industry professionals.
At the heart of the exhibition is the promotion of emerging talent. DER BERLINER SALON creates visibility for young designers and fosters direct exchange with established industry figures. At the same time, the exhibition highlights the importance of craftsmanship, material awareness, and design excellence.
The group exhibition is curated by Christiane Arp, Chairwoman of Fashion Council Germany, and organised and produced by Marcus Kurz, Managing Director of the creative agency Nowadays. Together, they initiated DER BERLINER SALON more than ten years ago. Since then, the format has become a key fixture of Berlin Fashion Week and is now regarded as one of Germany’s leading platforms for emerging design talent.

“For more than ten years, we have invited the guests of DER BERLINER SALON to discover something new - yet with every edition, we continue to surprise ourselves: by the diversity of fashion created in and from Germany, and by the ever-growing level of creativity and craftsmanship demonstrated by the participating designers. At the same time, we aim to surprise our guests not only with new names, but also with culturally significant venues they may not yet know.”
Christiane Arp, Chairwoman of Fashion Council Germany
“Fashion and design are flagship sectors of Berlin’s creative economy and contribute significantly to the international profile of our city. DER BERLINER SALON demonstrates how creative ideas, craftsmanship, and entrepreneurship can evolve into successful brands and new economic opportunities. It provides emerging designers with a platform to present their work to an international professional audience. In doing so, it helps strengthen Berlin’s position as a leading hub for creativity, innovation, and economic growth.”
