It's more than just a love for Berlin, as the capital also symbolizes the heart of the brand RIANNA + NINA, founded in 2014. "Berlin is an incredibly international city, with a unique blend of cultures, styles, and creativity. Everything seems to merge here," enthuse Rianna Kounou and Nina Knaudt. The Berlin-based label is known for its impressive, colorful, and captivating one-of-a-kind pieces. They intricately weave together various cultures and styles, as all looks are primarily crafted from the finest vintage fabrics sourced worldwide. Their fashion is now available in over 50 stores globally, and those wanting to dive into the vibrant parallel universe should visit the RIANNA + NINA store in Palais Royal, Paris.

Discover where the designer duo uncovers the best vintage treasures, their favorite flower shop in the city, and which gallery offers the finest art mix.

Marsano

In 2005, Katrin Jahn, Andreas Namysl, and Annett Kuhlmann opened their flower shop, Marsano, in Berlin. Today, flower enthusiasts can't miss their store, as Marsano is renowned for the most beautiful, artistic, and unique flower bouquets. The best part: the trio also prioritizes sustainability by planting and harvesting the majority of their flowers on their own fields in the outskirts of Berlin. What started as a simple flower shop was complemented in 2019 by a finely curated store for vintage furniture. "We've been collaborating with Marsano at RIANNA + NINA for a long time and are big fans of their work," say Rianna Kounou and Nina Knaudt.

"For excellent cocktails, we can recommend the Victoria Bar. The tranquil atmosphere there is truly unique – a place where one can forget the world around them!"

KÖNIG GALERIE

With a focus on international, national, emerging, and established artists, and thanks to the visionary approach of Lena and Johann König, the KÖNIG GALERIE is widely recognized beyond Berlin. With branches in Seoul and Mexico City, a visit to the Berlin location is a must. Situated in the heart of Kreuzberg, in the former St. Agnes Church, there is also a beautifully curated gallery shop, offering not only a variety of art books but also KÖNIG SOUVENIRs. Inspiration is guaranteed! Rianna Kounou and Nina Knaudt share the sentiment, stating, "The mix of contemporary art is consistently impressive." On view until March 2nd: the impressive exhibition by artist Monira Al Qadiri.

Antikmeile

"We are often drawn to Charlottenburg on Suarezstraße – for fantastic vintage finds," explain the duo. Deservedly dubbed an antique haven, Suarezstraße is lined with the most unique antique stores. In addition to furniture and art from various centuries, you can also discover beautiful fashion treasures here. For those in Berlin in September: On the first weekend of the month, all 26 merchants host an antique street festival, which is definitely worth a visit.

Paris Bar

Sitting between art and artists, at wooden tables with white tablecloths, enjoying filet tips in peppersauce, fries, béarnaise sauce, and a cool glass of rosé – and you instantly feel like you're in a French brasserie. The restaurant on Kantstraße is a cult classic, so it's highly recommended to make a reservation early to secure a table!
