FashionTech at Berlin's Fashion Schools

Since 2011 The International School of Art and Fashion ESMOD Berlin has been offering the Master's degree course "Sustainability in Fashion", the first opportunity for students in germany to specialize in ecological, ethical, social and economic sustainability in fashion. The internationally oriented program deals with all directions of the fashion industry. Sustainable thinking and action, from design strategy and material to innovative business models are the base. After graduation, the stuents will shape the future of fashion socially and environmentally responsible and improve the process of the clothing industry for all, whether designers or consumers.

With this specialization, they just started the movement. Next is "Fashion Technology". This is not conceived as "Sustainability in Fashion" as a Master's degree course, but even as a Twin-Bachelor. Taking the theory and should also apply the learned. So far, the course is still in the planning process and is ready to be offered for the first time in one year.

Esmod Berlin is working together with ElektroCouture, which has been organizing conferences and talk sessions at the university since 2016. They also expect great responses from the cooperation for the new planned course and at least as good responsey as for the Master's degree course "Sustainability in Fashion", which is attended by around 20 students from all over Germany each year
