Fahion Trades Berlin: Highlights of Winter 2017
On January 17, 2017, Berlin Fashion Week is back in the city and the fashion fairs are opening their doors to the trade visitors to present their latest collections. We inform you about the highlights that can be expected at the trade fairs.
PREMIUM, SEEK and BRIGHT present the new trend: Outdoor Styles. The Athleisure Trend the PREMIUM already established as a new segment in summer 2015. Fashion is gaining their sportive dynamic in autumn/winter 2017/18. Performance and function are the number one priority for numerous brands with their origin in outdoor sports. Outdoor fashion is currently the expression of a new urban lifestyle.
With the highest quality standards of materials and function as well as the origin and history, the design and style are the critics for the differentiation of the brands on the different platforms. In the PREMIUM range, the outdoor styles are finer and more toned with individual details, applications and new textures all the way to a couture character. The SEEK brands rely on the SEEK-typical, clean and Scandinavian look, which is straight and unpretentious. They are committed to the classic workwear brands. The brands on the BRIGHT have their roots in the adventure and board sports sector, focusing on the original function of the materials, while state-of-the-art outdoor gadgets and equipment complement the portfolio.
Anita Tillmann, Managing Partner PREMIUM GROUP, is currently being completely redefined as a result of the latest developments in the field of smart textiles and high-tech materials, as well as the increasing need of the end-users for holistic and sustainable lifestyle concepts.
In addition to the outdoor area, PREMIUM will be presenting the company Bogner as a new exhibitor on 180qm in Hall 4. The company shows the "World of Bogner" and brings all its brands along. The special highlight is the winter world, which can be live experienced.
At the PANORAMA Berlin there are many innovations. It expands the exhibitor portfolio by lingerie, underwear and homewear, opens two new halls for shoes and accessories and extends the plus size segment "Hipstar" by a whole hall, following the great success of the premiere last season. This year, 12 halls are open for an international branch meeting. At the beginning of December, Panorama Berlin presented the soft launch of the Panorama Digital B2C version. Interested end-users can stroll through the panorama and be inspired by the collections of the exhibitors. A linked Store locator shows immediately where you can find the shown styles in the stationary trade.
At SHOW & ORDER you can see a portfolio of feminine women's accessories, jewelry and shoes as well as interior design. The focus is to translate global trends into a feminine overall look. “The Good Store” presents 80qm of interior and product design to provide fashion enthusiasts with a wealth of inspiration. The Show & Order is thus the first modem to combine fashion and interior design on a large scale.
The seventh edition of the innovative #FASHIONTECH BERLIN will show the most extensive portfolio of wearable designs in Europe. Moderator Ole Tillmann leads through the day and on the stage on the fifth floor of the Kühlhaus. High-profile experts present valuable insights and present their latest
Projects. At the same time wearable designers present their collections, brands and partners on the exhibition area, while in the start-up area, industry newcomers present their concepts. 20 international designers from ten countries will show their fashion with technical innovations on the fourth floor of the Kühlhaus. For the first time at #FASHIONTECH Berlin, TheLab, the latest coup of the Fashiontech Studio ElektroCouture, will be presented. Lusi Ajonjoli & Sofie Di Bartolomeo show the interface of food and fashion designs with mycelia and microbacteria in the new biochemistry lab.
The three cutting-edge themes of the conference are Wearables & Smart Textiles, E-Commerce & Future of Retail and Digital Marketing & Communication.
The Greenshowroom and Ethical Fashion Show Berlin are expanding their exhibition space, which is possible thanks to the move of the Show into the neighboring energy forum. Under the title "ActiveSlow", progressive design and performance meet resource efficiency and round-robin capability.
Within the scope of a showcase, Manufactum and the international fashion school Esmod present prototypical functional clothing. In addition, selected exhibitors at both trade fairs show design innovations characterized by their special resource efficiency, slowness and circularity. As a further highlight, the program "PrePeek" gives exhibitors a direct route to the end customer. Bloggers and Influencers choose collection pieces of participating labels and use them in photoshootings, which they report about.
