The MBFW Berlin this time in a new location

BERLIN, JULY 27st, 2022

For the Spring Summer season of 2023, creative agency NOWADAYS, together with Mercedes-Benz and supported by the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, presents the MBFW Berlin for the first time exclusively at the hotel ‘Telegraphenamt’.

The new location in Berlin Mitte reflects the continuous focus of the MBFW on ‘Contemporary Boutique’, ‘High Fashion’, and ‘New Luxury’. The fresh, exclusively created set-up inside the historic location offers an attractive setting for the runway shows and moves the collections into the centre. Berlin’s former central telegraph office is a landmark of the turn of the century. It is located in the proximity of Monbijoupark and the immediate neighbourhood of Berlin’s Museum Island. Today, the area around Oranienburg Straße is a vibrant, trendy neighbourhood of the capital. This unique mixture of history, art, and trend hotspot for which Berlin is renowned provides the optimal setting for a new, unique approach of the MBFW Berlin. The MBFW is the premier event at the extensively renovated ‘Telegraphenamt’ with its contemporary yet historically design inspired by the building itself. Featuring a hotel, event space, dining area, and meeting point for locals and visiting guests, the ‘Telegraphenamt’ aims to shape Berlin‘s societal and gastronomical landscape. The official opening is scheduled for the fall.

Between September 5-7th, six runway shows and one presentation will take place in which the designers present their creations in these chosen surroundings. Panel talks with industry experts about zeitgeist-relevant topics complete the programme. On the evening of September 5th, title sponsor Mercedes-Benz traditionally hosts the opening of MBFW. Additional runway shows follow on September 6th at 11 am, 3 pm, and 8.30 pm, as well as on September 7th at 11 am, 3 pm, and 7 pm.

All events of the MBFW are staged in compliance with governing hygiene rules and regulations at the date of the event. Accreditations are verified in consideration of the current governing requirements and are expected to be announced by the end of August.
