For the first time, Fashion Council Germany and the Berlin Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Industry are awarding prize money of 70,000 euros for creative, innovative and sustainable concepts to activate the retail trade during Berlin Fashion Week in September.

Together with the Berlin Senate Department for Economic Affairs and Energy, the Fashion Council Germany has launched the Studio2Retail project, which aims to bring Berlin Fashion Week closer to the end consumer.

The aim of the project is to additionally activate decentralised venues of the fashion and lifestyle-related retail trade as well as Berlin brands with shops and studios and to promote sales. The campaign focuses on locations, concepts and brands that stand for sustainability and innovation. All Berlin designers with studios or retail space and all Berlin retailers and stores are cordially invited to register and activate the retail trade together!

To celebrate the launch of this project, an opening will take place on 6 September 2021 at Alhambra Berlin, which will focus on the diversity of Berlin's design and retail landscape and mark the beginning of Berlin Fashion Week. In addition to the members, selected experts from the fashion industry will be invited to celebrate the start of Berlin Fashion Week - by invitation only.
