The Jury of the BFW Concept Competition 02/25
These experts will select the most innovative B2C event concepts for STUDIO2RETAIL and the best fashion presentation concepts for Berlin Contemporary for the February edition of Berlin Fashion Week.
The Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises / Project Future will once again provide the prize money to support creative concepts from stationary retailers, up-and-coming fashion labels and talented designers (preferably from Berlin) in both categories.
As part of STUDIO2RETAIL, the 6 best event concepts that bring the BFW to life for the end consumer will be awarded €5,000 each. This season, the sixth prize money will again be provided by Berliner Sparkasse.
The Berlin Contemporary category honours promising designers and fashion labels (primarily from Berlin and Germany) and their fashion shows and presentations that take place during Berlin Fashion Week February 2025. The 19 most creative and sustainable concepts will be awarded €25,000 each. As in previous seasons, designers from Ukraine will also be able to apply. For the first time, prize money will also be awarded to a fashion label based in an African country.
An international jury of renowned industry experts will select the winning concepts at the end of the application phase. This jury also forms the newly introduced Show Committee, which decides which shows and presentations will be included in the official BFW calendar.
