Trade Fair Highlights 2019
Twice a year, the Berlin Fashion Week attracts a large number of designers, trade visitors, fashion friends, influencers and buyers to Berlin. Various trade fairs take place within the scope of the Fashion Week, serving as platforms for the professional audience. In January 2019, the major fairs Premium Exhibitions, Panorama Berlin, MBFW, Show & Order, Selvedge Run, Seek and the Berliner Salon are held in the German capital once again, providing an inspiring fashion experience for all visitors. Here, we outline the trade fair highlights for the upcoming season:

Womenswear/Menswear
Those interested in womenswear and/or menswear should not miss the following trade fairs in January:
Premium Exhibitions:
Premium is an international business and networking platform dedicated to the topic of advanced and contemporary fashion. Also in this season, about 1,800 autumn/winter collections 2019/2020 will be presented.
In January 2019, the renowned exhibition will be launched with a concept, which has been completely revised based on the results of studies and market survey conducted by the Premium Group all over Europe. In the eight exhibition halls at STATION-Berlin, brand environments will be arranged by pricing, image, positioning and distribution strategy, with each brand presenting itself with a particular key look, key item or key story.

Show & Order x PREMIUM
About 200 fashion, lifestyle and experience brands are presenting their latest collections at the Show & Order x Premium. These presentations are held within the former industrial building ‘Kühlhaus’ over six partly open, gallery-like floors. In addition, the exhibition provides attractive catering and an inspiring atmosphere for exchanging ideas and stories.

Panorama
Panorama exhibition presents a comprehensive overview of national and international women’s and men’s fashion collections. At ExpoCenter Berlin, about 800 brands present the latest trends and lifestyle products across 35,000 square metres of exhibition space.
Highlight: Panorama exhibition is also structured around a completely revised and enhanced concept. The basis for the innovation was a think tank, which analysed the business and consumers in detail. The motto of this month’s fair is “Panorama Expedition”. The entrance area will undergo a complete transformation and become the trend-setting window for the exhibition. Registration will be part of the event and will be moved to the outside area in front of the entrance. The shift will be apparent in all halls of the exhibition that are being re-conceptualized. The aim is to present relevant brands and straightforward messages. With clearer brand presentations, trend capsules and limited editions that can only be found in Berlin, fashion will be showcased in an exciting lifestyle content.

Selvedge Run
Selvedge Run is a trade show for quality garments and crafted lifestyle goods. These include mainly denim brands and other products with character. The connection of tradition, heritage and craft is made palpable at the Selvedge Run. The fair gathers brands from various branches such as nature, active and sports, dealing with heritage-related topics. Selvedge Run offers a multifaceted platform under this year’s motto #ReachNextLevel.

Street/Casual Wear
Other shows supporting street and casual wear brands are also quite popular at the Berlin Fashion Week. However, only one of them will take place in January.
Seek
This year, SEEK celebrates its 10th anniversary. This event will of course be celebrated accordingly with various surprises and parties taking place within the scope of the exhibition. For fashion individualists, SEEK has been providing the perfect platform for ten years now. Since the beginning, the exhibition has been influenced by subcultures, music, art and the drive of permanently reinventing itself. The exhibition’s key topics are autonomy, anti-trends, tradition and origin.

Sustainable Fashion
The topic of sustainability plays an important role at the Berlin Fashion Week. Berlin has long since developed into a leading location in terms of sustainable fashion. Trade visitors to the exhibition will be able to experience this for themselves also in the coming season.
Neonyt
In 2019, NEONYT brings together Greenshowroom and the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin under a new name and with a new concept. What remains, however, is the promise of sustainability, which the organizer Messe Frankfurt leaves unchanged. The great vision behind this concept is to change fashion through collaboration, a forward-looking approach, sustainability and with an affinity for technology. The hub consists of the Neonyt Trade Fair – with the Neonyt Fashion Show being the special highlight – the Fashionsustain by Messe Frankfurt and #Fashiontech by Premium Group conferences, as well as the Thinkathon, various showcases, influencer and blogger format Prepeek, networking events and, last but now least, the Neonyt party.
