Berlin Fashion Week: Once again with convincing survey results in the Talent Trust Survey

Berlin Fashion Week unites art, subcultures, design, music and fashion. The city's commitment to sustainability and inclusion is at the heart of the fashion week. In collaboration with Talent Trust, the organisers once again conducted a survey to capture the perceptions and experiences of the models participating in the July 2024 edition of Berlin Fashion Week and to translate these essential values into quantifiable data.

Diversity as a strength - insights into the survey results

For the third time in a row, the survey provides valuable insights into the areas of safety, inclusivity and communication. This feedback makes it possible to set key benchmarks and derive future-oriented measures. The breakdown of participants into 69% female, 23% male and 4% non-binary already shows a certain awareness of diversity and inclusion among designers in the first step.

Above-average satisfaction

As in the previous season, the survey results were rated between 4.3 and 4.6 out of a maximum of 5 points, well above the Talent Trust benchmark of 4.0. This once again shows that Berlin Fashion Week creates a safe and respectful working environment for its employees.

The results of the survey also illustrate above-average ratings in the categories of ‘safety’ or ensuring a safe working environment, ‘behaviour’ or the ethical treatment and working conditions of models, and ‘support’ to ensure optimal working conditions.

Positive feedback and constructive criticism

The results of the survey show that 89% of participants were satisfied with their working environment. Once again, the professionalism of the production teams, the commitment to inclusion and the appreciation shown by the organisers were particularly emphasised. However, the results also highlight potential for improvement and include suggestions for optimisation.

‘I felt very comfortable, safe and happy with these

wonderful people.’

Outlook: A signpost for the future

With the latest survey results, Berlin Fashion Week underpins its claim to be a pioneer in the areas of ethical practices and social responsibility. ‘The responsible movement of freedom, inclusion and creativity’ is not just a slogan, but is reflected in the concrete measures and commitment of all those involved.
