From Other Realities – Day 3 of Berlin Fashion Week
LUEDER
Marie Lueder staged her collection “The Shell” in the Kant-Garagen, where a long carpet served as the runway. Inspired by 19th-century carpet and curtain motifs, she sent printed and airbrushed T-shirts, mesh and Lycra pieces, as well as denim down the catwalk. Muted colours, a drone hovering above the runway, and a soundtrack blending classical music with gothic elements created a dramatic, dystopian atmosphere.
GmbH
What remains when all external influences fade away? In turbulent times, GmbH turned its gaze inward with "From Another Reality", reflecting on past collections and defining moments from the brand’s eight-year history. Serhat Isik and Benjamin Alexander Huseby sent models down the runway in off-shoulder blazers, coats with faux fur collars, cropped, form-fitting suit trousers, and over-the-knee boots. They layered bomber jackets over blazers and fleece pullovers over shirts and ties. This introspection is a distilled essence of what the label stands for: challenging gender norms, bold silhouettes, and a fusion of tailoring and workwear that forms a striking symbiosis.
Marlon Ferry
On Sunday evening, Marlon Ferry unveiled his new couture collection at Bunker West—a powerful statement on the fragility of the present and the resilience of humanity. Exquisite craftsmanship met modern innovation techniques, adding a new dimension to classic couture. 3D-printed, sculptural vests and headpieces appeared as protective shields against an uncertain future, while the silhouettes embodied a posthuman aesthetic. The bunker, repurposed as an art and fashion platform, symbolised humanity’s ability to create light even in darkness.
Mona Cordes
Mona Cordes' collection was presented in an eclectic Fashion Ritual x Dance performance with two shows at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., along with a pop-up drinks reception. Mona Cordes' works embody the physical expression of multicoloured, kaleidoscopic visions.
