Fashion fair highlights in July 2017

We summarized the fashion fair highlights Premium, Seek, Bright, Show & Order, Cookies Show, Greenshowroom & Ethical Fashion Show, Panorama Berlin and Selvedgerun.

The Berlin Fashion Week is the week when most brands and collections are presented – worldwide: Buyers get the chance to view and order over 3.500 collections within 4 days.
We summarized the fashion fair highlights Premium, Seek, Bright, Show & Order, Cookies Show, Greenshowroom & Ethical Fashion Show, Panorama Berlin and Selvedgerun.

Premium Exhibitions
The fashion fair PREMIUM offers the contemporary brand environment for selected collections, international newcomers and exclusive trend products. Selected based on innovation and quality, PREMIUM presents about 1.000 exhibitors and 1.500 international women’s and men’s collections, a wide range of accessories and shoes as well as selected perfumes, cosmetics and home accessories. Premium Exhibitions is committed to young designers and awards prizes to four international designers each season and offers a possibility to exhibit at the international fashion fair Premium. The winners of the Premium Young Designer Awards Spring/Summer 2018 are: Roberta Einer (women’s wear), Dime Leu (sportswear), Ejing hang (accessories) and Pyrates (activewear).

To mark the start of the Berlin Fashion Week the Federal Minister Brigitte Zypris visits Premium in order to convince herself of the funding programme of the young talents. Her first stop will be the Fashion Council Germany Showroom at Premium where mentees of the FCG as Marina Hoermanseder and Nobi Talai and also the winners of this year’s mentoring programme in cooperation with the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, BENU Berlin and Philomena Zanetti will present their collections for the Federal Minister and for international buyers.

Seek, Bright and Show & Order
Group exhibitors and international buyers are meeting at the fairs which belong to the Premium Group. The focus of the trades: The Bright Tradeshow represents urban streetwear, Show & Order represents feminine fashion, shoes and accessories and Seek presents contemporary fashion.

A new element this year is Seek’s Super Natural pop-up-store in Torstraße in Berlin-Mitte. The concept Super Natural is likewise the overlying topic of the sixth issue of the SEEK Magazine. In the pop-up-store exclusively white products will be offered in a clear setting which is reduced to the basics. Afterwards visitors are inivted to the launch of the current printed edition in the pop-up-shop on the 3rd July.

The Cookies Show is new to Show & Order. It is the first trade fair which focusses on the topic child’s shoes and children lifestyle brands. In the context of the Berlin Fashion Week it will take place from the 4th to the 6th July under the roof of SHOW&ORDER AT KRAFTWERK BERLIN – and thus creates an individual and internationally perceptible platform.

Panorama Berlin
At Panorama Berlin 500 brands present their current collections on an area the size of 21.000 square metres. A selection from women’s and men’s collections, shoes and accessories of product specialists and heritage brands over niche collections to the core segment of leading lifestyle brands. 

„FashionTech Solutions“ is newly introduced to Panorama. In partnership with tools Berlin – the roadshow for digitalisation – Panorama Berlin for the first time offers a platform exlusively to industry-relevant FashionTech companies from the „FashionTech Solutions“ department. For the complete supply chain of the fashion industry from design to POS digitalisation tools and success stories will be presented. Furthermore, there will be a startup area which presents innovative solution approaches by young entrepreneurs in the context of an interactive exhibition curated by Anna Rojahn.

Greenshowroom and Ethical Fashion Show Berlin
Focussing on trade: With „retail“ as a focus Greenshowroom and the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin take aim at retailers in Berlin. From 4th to 6th July the trade duo delivers – for the first time in the Funkhaus Berlin – the newest information concerning future-oriented retail and sustainability in fashion industry. Further highlights on the programme are the fashionshows „Salonshow“ and „Ethical Fashion on Stage“.

The new element of the trade: The event highlight at the Greenshowroom for retailers will take place on thursday at 11 a.m.: In the context of a practice talk industry experts discuss the question „How can money be made with green fashion?“ during the TW Fair Fashion Summit. The panel discussion will be organized by TextilWirtschaft in cooperation with the BTW Handelsverband Textil and for the first time it takes place on the grounds of the trade fair duo.

Beside further items on the agenda around the topic trade (a.o. by Manufactum and FAB Talks) presentations and discussion forums about the newest developments relating to sustainability and fashion are part of the programme. Thus, the book launch by Safia Minney, eco-fashion-pioneer and founder of PeopleTree, comments on social standards in fashion industry. Also the presentation of the special award „Spitze Nadel“ addresses deficiencies in fashion industry. Numerous information events and get-togethers round off the three-day trade fair programme.

Selvedge Run
In July 2015 the trade fair Selvedge Run celebrated its premiere with 50 other brands in Berlin-Schöneweide during the Berlin Fashion Week. The summer edition of the fashion fair takes place in the Kulturbrauerei in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg. International fashion brands present their new collections of handmade clothes, shoes and accessories in the department denim and heritage.

New in the summer season: On the second evening of the summer edition, 5th July 2017, Selvedge Run invites to share the passion for Japanese denim at the exclusive German film premiere of „Weaving Shibusa“ – a story of the Japanese craftmanship and dedication. The documentary offers an unprecedented approach to the mysterious and buzzing industry of the Japanese denim, narrated by vintage denim experts, the highly esteemed „Osaka 5“. Osaka 5 is responsible for the Japanese denim revival, they are passionate innovators whose incomparable work, the „Japanese Denim“, is equivalent to highest quality.
