Fashion Council Germany x H&M
While Berlin Fashion Week, the Fashion Council Germany and H&M announce the four winning labels for the "Fellowship Program by the Fashion Council Germany and H&M" on Tuesday evening, January 17th, 2017.
The chosen designers are: BOULEZAR, HORROR VACUI, TIM LABENDA and WILLIAM FAN.
All four of them are supported by the FCG's exclusive network and mentor jury members for the next two years. Experts from the company H&M will provide theory and practice knowledge for the establishment and expansion of their designer's own brands. The aim is to support the labels in their profitability.
Single newsIn the summer of 2016 designers from the areas of DOB, HAKA and accessories were invited to apply for the newly initiated Fellowship program. The requirement
was that the brands are existing with their own brand and are based in Germany with at least one and maximum five years with their own label on the market.
Ten finalists emerged from the applications, who presented their labels to an international top jury in November 2016.
According to Mandy Bienek of the Fashion Council Germany, the decision was anything but easy and took several hours. However, the four selected designers impressed the high-caliber eleven-man jury with their business plans, lookbook and runway pictures.
