“METAMORPHOSIS - dialogues about change”: What to expect from this season’s talk format

The talk event series "METAMORPHOSIS – dialogues about change" is returning for its third installment during Berlin Fashion Week SS26. From June 30–July 3, key industry players will exchange ideas on the ongoing transformation in fashion. Here are the highlights of this season’s edition.
Initiated by the Fashion Council Germany and powered by eBay, "METAMORPHOSIS – dialogues about change" brings together diverse perspectives from fashion, technology, culture, media, and the startup scene to reflect on the necessary changes within the industry and to explore new paths through engaging conversations. Under the main themes of circularity and creativity, a wide range of talks, interviews, and keynotes will be held over four days by and with national and international industry experts, focusing on various aspects of the inevitable transformation of the fashion landscape. In addition to industry professionals, the event is aimed at a wider audience and interested individuals.
Scott Lipinski, CEO of the Fashion Council Germany, says: “With ‘METAMORPHOSIS’, we are establishing a platform that addresses the urgently needed transformation in the fashion industry and presents solutions. Innovation, creativity, and open dialogue between the industry and the public are essential to shaping a circular future.”
Over 40 industry experts will take part in the SS26 edition to share their insights and knowledge.

The program has once again been developed in collaboration with Ann Claes, co-founder of the Belgian agency Masjien, to incorporate an international perspective from the very beginning of the concept phase. Highlights of the event include:

Thursday (03.07): Inside PUMA: Shaping Culture Through Story
A brand’s soul goes beyond style – it’s shaped by purpose, culture, and the pulse of its audience. In this conversation, Heiko Desens, VP Creative Direction & Innovation at PUMA, unpacks how shifting market dynamics, Gen Z values, and the evolving meaning of cultural relevance are reshaping brand identity. From storytelling to strategy, discover how PUMA stays connected to the “why,” stays ahead of trends, and builds a brand that resonates – now and next.
Thursday (03.07): Consumers x Creativity: Understanding mindsets to shape a more creative future
Ashley Krupnik from trend forecasting agency WGSN, will shed light on the value of creativity in the age of imagination. Through a short analysis of societal trends, she will outline shifts impacting the future of creativity and consumer connections.
