Paris, September 2024 — Following the first two editions of INTERVENTION in February and July, Reference Studios launch Berlin International Designers: an initiative that facilitates global market access for Berlin brands.

“Complementing Intervention, with Berlin International Designers, Reference Studios brings to life another format on an international scale which benefits Berlin designers by giving access to the global fashion market. Building a strategic bridge between Berlin and Paris, Reference Studios further evolves Berlin’s status as a home for unique creative talent with an international point of view.” Michael Biel, Berlin Secretary of State

By providing a platform in Paris during Fashion Week, Reference makes the city’s infrastructure accessible to eight designers — Namilia, SF1OG, LUEDER, Richert Beil, COLRS, Sia Arnika, Ioannes & Claudia Skoda — who will showcase their SS25 collections to a global audience of buyers and creative professionals. Each a trailblazer in their own regard, they represent the vanguard of German fashion.

“Not least since the inception of Intervention we have learned that longevity and perspective need support and consistency. With Berlin International Designers, Reference creates a commercial and promotional platform for great talent – from Europe’s creative capital of Berlin to the heart of the fashion market in Paris.” Mumi Haiati, Founder & CEO of Reference Studios

Coinciding with Paris Fashion Week, the first edition starts on September 26th and continues for 7 days through October 2nd 2024. Located at the new Reference Studios Paris showroom in the prestigious 7th Arrondissement of Paris, the event marks the official arrival of the agency in the French capital.

“We joined the initiative with great enthusiasm; our mission is to support and develop new brands and this newly created platform is the perfect opportunity. Given our long standing relationship, a partnership with Reference Studios is a natural next step to expand our scope to the European market. We believe that Berlin new wave of designers can represent a refreshing perspective into current fashion panorama” Edoardo Di Luzio, Co-Founder & CEO of Underscore District

The initiative is organised in partnership with Underscore District and supported by Berlin's Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises and the secretary of the state, Michael Biel.
